I borrowed Need for Speed - Shift from a friend and are currently playing on the easy level. I will push it up soon, but I have to master this flipping drifting.:(

The tips says you need to have speed and tap the E-brake and then turn the wheels in opposite direction while feathering the throttle.

I keep on spinning the car in 360's.

Any advise?

I'm really old for this ****, but man I like it.

I don't even try and play console games... I suck at using the game pad or whatever you call that thing, as my hands are a bit big!

PC only!!!

ya it is pretty hard.Forget NFS shift, the drifting is very unpredictable, try gt5p(now thats addictive, especially online) but if you want to, the only way you'll master it is through practice also get a less powerful car like the the old 80's skyline.
Dont try too had to do what the game says, just keep trying different ways. What are you using to play, control or wheel?

I'm playing with the controller. I gave my steering wheel which I bought for GTA4 on the Xbox away and I paid R1800.00 for it.
Can't believe I did it.
How stupid can you be?

EISH!!:wtf: hard luck.but its not so bad with the controller, you just need to be extra quick with your fingers.

Well obviously, using a 360 gamepad is miles ahead of using keyboard, but a steering wheel is more fun.

Function wise I find using steering wheels in arcade racing games not so useful.

Oh and buying a steering wheel for GTA4 is the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Thanks.

I don't bother with the drifting in the game, it's crap and an insignificant part of the game to me.
Still enjoy loading it up for a few races though.

I think you're not going fast enough into the corner, that's why you end up spinning. I punch as it fast as I can into the corner and then try to control my drift. Also look at the lines on the road, it tells you where to enter the corner. I'm not finding it a challenge anymore, I score on my first drift double what the competition scores on all their runs.

Thx for the info.
I wish say I was at that stage where I could it is not a challenge anymore.

I hear what you say, but I like to complete "all missions" in a game. In this game you have the different Tiers and within them are different stages. if there are 6 cups to be earned, i try to complete them, but the drifting is killing me. I can't get of the cups.:(
