Will I be able to hook up 2 steering wheels and will NFS support it, making it possible to race against each other?(Know it can be done over the net).

NFS Shift does not support local multi player (split screen) racing. Only 8 online players. Pitty. Would have loved the option...

Yeh - no split screen :(

Hating that about most new games - cause thats almost the only time I get to play.

GT5 ftw.. bought prologue the other day for R350 at CNA..

full version been postponed to March 2010.. was waiting till dec for the full version but couldn't wait that long after they delayed it again..

prologue is amazing.. and supports split screen :) prob the best game i got on ps3 atm cos it's actually 2 players

Prologue sucks in comparison to NFS:Shift - sorry ;) No accidents, no realistic collisions - and I don't think the graphics compare... GT5 final will be another story.

I wouldn't really use NFS: Shift as a benchmark in realistic collisions, its hardly any better than GT5: Prologue.

Um - ok - considering their are no collisions in GT5p.

EDIT: Not saying the Shift collisions are spot on - but it does something besides bounce off the other car.

There are collisions, otherwise the cars would glide through each other like ghosts. What there isn't in GT5p is car damage, something which as like many other NFS games is very cosmetic.

Ok - fair enough - but I'm talking about prettyness here - not damage that has an effect on handling - I'll have to turn that setting on and report back tomorrow.

Would really been cool if NFS took a page out of Codemaster's book. They're been doing very good damage simulations for a long time now.

But they are not doing simulations:D

What define racing simulator vs. racing game?

I know that if you drive over power-ups its a arcade racer but I think all 'serious' driving games all fall in the same basket don't you?

Not at all. If that were true CoD4 would qualify as a mil-sim. Different genres but the difference is the same.

Played shift on the weekend....

What a HORRIBLE game!!!
