I was looking for the correct BIOS multiplier settings for an Intel 5200 CPU so that I could setup the motherboard correctly without causing harm to either the CPU or motherboard.

The following URL, http://ixbtlabs.com/articles3/cpu/intel-pentium-e5200-p1.html has a great list of all the more commong Core 2 Duo CPU's we use today and was very handy to setup the Gigabyte motherboard that I'm using to use the correct multiplier settings for thie particular CPU.

The following URL gives a quick comparison about the different Intel CPU's currently on the market: http://compare.intel.com/pcc/default.aspx?familyID=1

Whatever happened to peeps finding their own settings, lazy generation around at the moment

These have always been around, but as any overclocker will find or inquisitive mind, you soon need more than what any piece of writing can provide so I suppose its for helping the beginner which is fine.

@QX: How is that SmackOver board treating the 920?

Not to badly, can not get ram to run at right speed no matter what i do (tried both 1333 and 1600 ram), ocing is a bit of hit and miss (was at 4gig for awhile then dropped down for some or other reason and now i am sukkeling to get it back up there.

As a "budget" board i have no complaints but i am thinking of getting one of the higher end boards but shall see.

Which board do you have Softdux? I also have a budget Gigabyte board, and it hits a wall with overclocking that nothing can really sort out. With e7200 I can get up to 3.00 and no higher.
