Nice pressie :D

I will roll a dk, then put him in a dress and leave him in ogg to replace my current bank toon :D

Bwhahahahaha! Nice idea :p

Like the warrior on Dentarg with full warlock set (superior set) with a 2 handed axe :D haha

Just looks so weird! hehe

My current bank toon is a male ork in a white hanbok with a red rose in the offhand

Still need to get the 20lb catfish for my priest so I can stalk around in my admiral hat, ripped ogre loincloth and fish and try get a pug for bt :D

I got my beta key in the 1st wave of opt ins :)

Are you on the EU server? Be warned, it has suffered badly from very bad loot lag / disconnects. It was unplayable for a week, but it seems as if they fixed the problem :)

Just a tip: Take the 2H axe as the last quest reward, as your next big upgrade will be from the Ring of Blood in Nagrand and then as soon as you hit level 68 you can go do a 4 quest quest chain in Borean Tundra for an awesome 2H axe.

Yes the sword looks cool, but training 2H axe skill isnt :P

Oh and welcome to beta! :)

Heh here is another pressie for you - new patch today of 750mb!

Sometimes it really sucks being South African with our caps :P

Luckily I have gigs (use them or lose them!)to burn through this month, so this 750mb patch is welcome :) That and the 100mb high definition cinematic definitely made the copper wiring work hard today haha :) And the usual dosage of anime and raiding xD

Crap...I've been downloading patches the whole night :p Couldn't get to play on due to a raid I had planned with the guild :(

TONIGHT! I will find myself in Northrend! :D

I wont play beta.
I just dont see the point in leveling my character twice.
Once is more than enough.
My alt rogue has been stuck on 52 for past 2 months because can find instance groups anymore and I hate questing.
I went through outland from 58 - 69 without doing one single quest (pure instances & pointless killing ftw :P ).
Ill wait.

Paladins have been in beta anyway since 2004 up until now :P

Dusk, you speak like that...

I actually had this convo with one of my mates. WoW is an awesome RPG, yet there's no actual storyline to it. Guild Wars - Prophecies had a storyline. Just about every other RPG has one.

On WoW's side, you're not forced to do ANY SPECIFIC quest in order to progress. Sure, some are vital to your performance and growth - but you can effectively get to lvl 70 by killing trash mobs while mining and picking flowers.

Sure there are tons of books to read and quest givers with stories forming part of the overall story, but there's no main/essential quest-chain that leads you to it.

Some might argue that this is a flaw in the game - others may say it gives the player complete freedom. I tend to enjoy the freedom, however I stopped questing after lvl 10 and only started again at lvl 30. The rest of the time I just explored...

This is derailing the thread a bit (congrats again to you Method), but will it not take you longer to only explore/do instances to get you experience and to lvl to 70? I've just always focused on the yellow quests, they afaik balance difficulty and experience gained the best. And instances always come after that if they do not form part of that group of quests.

Thats the one thing i loved about diablo, you could still explore and do pointless killing and still somehow felt you are part of the storyline.
The cutscene cinematics where the reason i progressed , i wanted to know whats next in the story.
Wow does have a cool story and i do read lore but not from ingame. I rather read articles and books. Cutscenes in wow should have been in the game. (ofcourse with a disable button since you wont wanna see the cinematics after your 7th alt for some.)
To me quest logs is not a very interesting way of telling a story. Thats my opinion anyway.

The thing with Outland Dungeon's and quests is that there are a lot of items available from those instances and instance quests that are good even at 70.

i dont see the point of a beta - you still have to buy it at the end of the day. mmm, but do u get to keep everything? im not sure how mmorpg betas work, i mean if u quest and stuff and level to 75 (for example) and then the beta is closed - do u get keep all that experiance/armor/items etc when u actually buy the exp and install it?

Nope you don't. its a sneak peak. But the Test server is so slow I don't log on much. Lag is extremely bad.
