Nico Meyer is the CEO of Multichoice Africa.
Nico Meyer has been with the Naspers Group for over 16 years and has driven numerous key initiatives within the organisation. He played a key role in listing MIH Limited on the NASDAQ and Amsterdam stock exchanges, and established the related governance, compliance and financial structures that followed. In 2004, Nico was named Group CFO of MultiChoice SA and during his tenure he spearheaded the implementation of corporate governance risk management and BEE compliance. In 2009, he was appointed as CEO of MultiChoice SA, where he spent three years before taking on his current role as CEO of MultiChoice Africa which is responsible for operations in 50 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
As CEO of MultiChoice Africa, Nico is responsible for the significant growth of the subscriber base and the successful expansion the DTT (GOtv) operations. Nico qualified as a chartered accountant (CA (SA)) in 1992 after completing his BComm Honours degree at the University of Johannesburg. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in the USA.
