I have a data sim for my iPad. I often run out of data which means standing in L-O-N-G queues at Vodacom! Their website is either down or just hangs.

Anyone have an idea of how to topup data without this frustration?

I mailed Vodacom about 5 weeks back but to data, no response. Needless to say, THEY SUCK!

Never again Vodacom.

Have you tried *111#? If you have a cellular with a Vodacom sim you can top up from there too, or from a banking app, at an atm...

Thanks - that mean putting the sim from iPad into the phone I presume?

Easiest is to use your online banking to buy some data for the SIM.

With Capitec you can purchase airtime for a different SIM than your capitec-registered SIM.

Also you can do it on FNB internet banking as per the above.

Why not look at what Afrihost/8ta can offer you? Month to month contract with a SIM-only, maybe this will work for you?

FNB can do any nos. Every data sim has a phone nos attached to it. Just use that nos and buy data.
