I have a Nikon SLR auto focus camera that was bought in the late 1980's, it was bought in America and the model no is N8008 but in S.A. they were the N808 and the camera has not been used much( has taken only two spools of film) and i would like to know where to get a value on this camera as i am wanting to sell it.

There is virtually no market for film cameras. As you're in Pta, you can try Radiolens in Hatfield or Klotz Photographic in Centurion, but I think Pot's value is optimistic. You maybe able to find a Tuks or Technikon student studying photography that needs a film camera. (The skelms don't even take film cameras during break-ins these days :()

Is a film camera lens interchangable with a digital camera lens?

Generally, Yes.
However, in the case of Nikon the entry level dslr cameras don't have a built in autofocus motor in the camera body and therefore the lenses won't autofocus. The lenses still work if you manual focus. Cameras from the D90 upward should be fully compatible.

EDIT: Due the the difference in sensor size between most dslr's and film. You will notice a multiplication factor e.g. x1.4.
i.e. a 100mm lens will be like a 140mm lens when used on a dslr.
