Nikon D3100 value/appraisal

Good morning all

My gear is sitting in my cupboard collecting dust and I am thinking of selling it. What is a good price to list it for?

Specs:

Nikon D3100 Body (+-8000 exposures)
Battery EN-EL14
Battery Charger MH-24
Body cap
Nikon Camera Strap
Nikon Camera Bag
ProMaster Lens Pen
USB data cable
DK-5 viewfinder cap


AF-S NIKKOR 50mm 1:1.8 G Prime lens
HB-47 lens hood
Lens cap
Velvet lens bag

AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm 1:3.5 - 5.6 G kit lens
Lens cap

AF-S NIKKOR 55-300mm 1:4.5 - 5.6G ED lens
HB-57 lens hood
Lens cap
Velvet lens bag

All in 9/10 condition

I was thinking around R5 - R6k but I'm out of the loop in terms of gear costs - does my estimate seem reasonable?

Look around for the prices of such on bidorbuy.co.za (especially what it recently went for)

I sold the D3100 and 18-55 mm lens for R2500
The 55 to 300mm lens for R1000

The bag ads a bit more. I depends on whether you can hold out for a higher price. I just wanted to sell it. The ad on another forum found a buyer in under a day

I took the D3100 to Orms as I thought it was faulty. They kept it 6 weeks and told me the SD card was faulty

In the meantime, they had a special on the D3500 for R6000 so I bought that. Much better (and of course larger) pictures

I actually forgot about this thread, I did sell the 55-300 for R2500 and the 50mm prime for R2200.

I still have the rest of the kit (D3100, 18-55, bag and accessories) up for R2750 but I am getting zero bites.

I think I will probably drop it to R2250 and hope for the best seeing as the body is nearly ten years old already.

How are you finding the D3500 @chrisc ?
