Hi all.
My Nikon camera just decided to die on me and don't read any kind of memory card.

I used it in January still when we went to Kariba and all was good.
Came back and downloaded all pics.

When i wanted to use it the other day it just won't take any photos anymore.

Everytime when i switch it on it says:
"This memory card cannot be used. Card may be damaged. Insert another card"

I've googled this and a few places it states to do a factory reset by pressing the two green dot buttons.:wtf:
Did that with no luck.

Also they said some of the contacts inside the card slot might be bent or damaged.
Looked in there with a light and all seems in place and nothing damaged or bended.

I've change with numerous cards and new ones straight out of packet and all cards is working fine by reading and writing through the computer and even re-formatted them and still no luck.

If you do have any advise or suggestions out there to get my camera up and running, i would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Take it to Nikon (Kyalami Blvd, Midrand 1684) The contacts may need to be cleaned. I wouldn't think that it would cost much though. Also have them do a free clean on your sensor while the camera is there.
Nikon will send you an sms telling you what is wrong and how much it will cost before they do any work on it, so I would send it in.

Awesome thanks binkybozo.... I will definitely go that route and ask them to have a look.
Thanks fo advice..

Have you tried another MMC? or put it in a computer?

Yes i've tried about 7 memory cards and even new ones out of the packets.
No luck.

All working fine and reading/writing/formatting/everything on the computer.
Even tried a card or 2 in my phone and all working just fine with zero problems.
