The long awaited D90 replacement from Nikon, the D7000 has been announced with availability in October.

The new camera uses a Nikon 16.2MP sensor with 39 point AF and new imaging chip.

Anyone know pricing?
 
So it turns out this isn't the D90 replacement - but being positioned between the D90 and the D300s.

Reading between the numbers I suppose the D6000 will replace the D90...

Prices are USD1200 for the body and USD1500 for a 18-105 VR kit.
