Ok seriously, i need to take a break, the last time i can remember a game kicking my ass this badly was Contra!

Im at the second boss up in the burning building, the guy is wasting me every time, dammit i should have bought healing! dammit! dammit!

Just to let you guys know this is a truly authentic game, by authentic i mean its one of those oldschool designed games which dont hold your hand for 8 hours then tell you to GTFO and buy the sequel. This game WANTS you to cry...

you dont buy Ninja Gaiden 2, NG2 owns YOU.

tis cool when you come across a game like that huh ......... so much pleasure :D

I picked it up a while ago. Must really try finish it though. Got a bit frustrated with the double boss fight at the end of chapter 7 or 8.

Ninja Gaijin is indeed an game of awesomeness!!! Have almost finished it on acolyte... (I need to clear my cache cause I downloaded the update that makes it freeze RIGHT at the end : (...) BUT i have also started it on Warrior... Have nearly finished that! Awesome game indeed.

When i got to that boss, I also thought that I would NEVER finish him.. but I did and so will you. Its an awesome game that demands that you get better at it. If you dont, you will not get very far!

I suggest that you put some distance between you and him and hold down the Y button. As he gets close to you, the closer the better, better still if he has initiated his own attack, you let go and let him have it...

Another way of making it easier would be for you to save up ALL your cash, not spending ANY on health, and upgrading your staff as much as possible before you get to him. It make an big difference!

The first two (Ninja Gaiden, and the "deluxe" edition Ninja Gaiden: Black) were both exclusive to the first Xbox. Ninja Gaiden: Sigma (essentially a modified version of Ninja Gaiden: Black) was released on PS3.

All this NG talk reminds me that I bought the Black version a couple of weeks after getting my 360 and never finished it.

This aint a bad game only problem is that constant camera control, gameplay too linear combat seems to be the only puzzle, story isn't that well thought out seems they just bashed it in there. Still gets top marks for brutality and graphics. that damn dinosaur on fire, at end of 7th chapter is a bloody bastard  The creator really wanted us to cry when playing this took me 4 tries to kill that thing. :(

I borrowed my friends copy of NG for orginal xbox... i keep getting my *** handed to me when i dont pay 110% attention :D

That's the one ;)

Focus on one at a time, use either the giant scithe-y thingy or those double sickles, the ones on the chain. run if from the side and attack them in the face! Use can use the bow n arrow, but with two of them, there is rarely enough time to charge the bow to the point where it does real damage.

Also, a general tip is to stock up on health and to also save your life upgrades to use as health when fighting the hardcore bosses. When you use those things that increase your life bar, your health get regenerated. Same goes for your chi for special moves.

Ah, you have discovered the true point of the Ninja Gaiden series, grasshopper :)

It is a reflex and concentration based game. It's meant to be hard even at the easy levels. The graphics are there to be ogled at and the story is simply tacked on because it is necessary to have some sort of immersion and goals.

In terms of gamplay it's as primal as it gets these days.

I am so looking for this - but need to finish DMC4 first! :D
Of course if anyone has Ninja Gaiden 2 for sale - please pm me and cpt people only please as the people i send around to break legs (in case the game is dodgy) charge extra for travel. :p

Yah but I like a game to at least have some story to follow. God of War set an entirely new bar for these kinda games and has the correct mixture of story and brutality. I'd expect half baked storylines from FPS's and not action adventures.
