We have a guildy that made a loan for flying mount.
He has paid back about 200g out of the 1000g he borrowed but then he transfered to different realm .
He obviously changed his nick as it doesnt show on armoury anymore.
Can blizzard do anything about it or should we just accept that the gold is gone ?
Can he be banned by blizzard for this?

Outch

I would assume you can log a ticket and have it investigated, prob have his mount revoked and you reinbursed. However I don't think they enter into civil disputes... I might be wrong. Ask on the Customer service forum.

My logic would say that you have lost your gold and it is gone. But Blizzard have helped in situations of gold loss etc before. So if your lucky and the GM that contact you is in a good mood, you might get your gold back.

Good luck though

It’s a tough one to call tbh

Firstly blizzard isn’t in charge of people lending or even borrowing money, I seriously doubt they will do anything about it. It’s an agreement that you and the other person agreed on, blizzard have or had nothing to do with it.

You never know, maybe they can help you out.

Blizz can b really helpful some times... We ran a guildie thru BM for that stupid hourglass, as it dropped the server went down... Half the party sent tickets, and 2 days later after fighting, he got the trinket sent to him :)

Its scary wat blizzard can see when looking at your character (apparently everything uve done in 3months at a touch of a button). My rule of thumb has been not 2 lend money out to anyone, cept RL friends that play...

The most evul thing ive done, was a lvl 11 spamming "gief gold" i opened a trade window put 1000g in the window and went afk :D

Hey I lent money from a real, cool friend. Paid him back in 12 hours I think. But as a norm I will only lend to a select few also. Damn 1k gold is not the end of the world, take it as a loss and get back to farming it again

Paid it back with interest too ... lol.

Personally I think your best bet is to petition / log ticket (whaterver it's called) and if you get no joy from the GM's then take the hit, change guild policys and lend no more ... Sad that ppl would steal in game ... reflects poorly on the moral fibre of today's society (did that make sense? :o )
