Ninjacentral now indexing nzb's

Hi all

Ninjacentral.co.za has moved away from torrents to nzb's. We currently indexing over 2000 releases. All releases are automatically indexed with full Tvrage, Rotten Tomato and AniDB for all your animation info.

The site also has full API support that can be used in conjunction with Sick Beard, Couch Potato and Sabnzbd.

Currently we have over three thousand users and think there is some room for more, so only for a limited period of time our doors will be open.

Tried it this morning. Unfortunately my ISP throttles torrents and nzb's to death...if I get 10KB/s (on a 3Mbps fibre line) I am lucky.
 
Awesome conversion. Seems the forum part is broken.

How many api hits and nzb downloads will ninjacentral allow?

I've turned on "scan for password protected release", but this is an imperfect system and a few will slip through.

Currently you are permitted 50 per 24 hours. If you think its to little I can bump it up.

Are there guides on how to use the API with Couch potato?

Yes there are guides for integrating the more popular auto downloaders

I've also added a few new groups today including HD and flac and we currently have +/- 29750 releases to date and growing.

Please could you comment under the password releases so I can remove it and ideally you should be able to repair the release by using par files.

I know there are few movies that are still new and just like you would find elsewhere are more than likely fake! I'm not sure if these are the releases in question. If this is the case, then you will need to use your common sense and relies that there's a slim chance of it been of DVD quality, but saying that I have implemented "detect password-ed rar's, this is not a full proof system and can be improved by rather using deep password search I found that there is no need for at this time for the reason that password-ed releases are not as numerous thus far, and it’s unfortunate that you came across as much as you have. We are closely monitoring this and appreciate your input; we are always trying to improve the site and indexing in general.

I guess it is fair enough. Still far away from the 500 grabs and 1500 api hits allowed by nzbs.org though, which is great for when you want to do backlog search on series like CSI which now have 12 seasons or something crazy.

Same here 23GB's only to find the archive has a password and no mention of it on the site :'(

Edit: Just found that 2 other movies I downloaded are password protected too. Can we not have the passwords posted somewhere on the site, preferably in the description or something.

Fantastic to have another SA NZB site... I use NZBSA.co.za and its great but more is always better. Will sign up now.

API is essential for Sickbeard, Coach Potato purposes. I see the Site Api/Rss Key is available in the profile section so this should work. Will try when I get back from work

All releases will show if it contains password protect rar's, always check the releases details before downloading.

OT: I often wonder what is the standpoint behind sites like these - from the owner/admin point of view.
Is there revenue generated from ads on these sites?
Or is it just a labour of love for the freedoms of piracy?

THere's gotta be costs involved.
Do the admins just have cashflow which they feel they'll use for "The greater good"?
Or are users donating to the worthy cause?

Just as a matter of interest...
 
Hi there,

Well most of the over heads are for a decent server with a semi decent newz account due to automatic take down scripts been utilized on some of the more popular Newz servers.
 
Console section is completely empty :erm:


Edit: also, searching for "Jurassic Park" or "The matrix" gives 0 results.
Did you guys just start indexing today or whats the story?

Yea! we are still quite new, but I'm sure it will be index along with many other movies in the near future. I can add more groups I just didn't expect any interest in Console games - will add it now.
