Nintendo launches SNES Classic

Would love to get this since it never really took off in this country, whereas the Mega Drive did. Would we be able to get additional games, and how so?

I couldn't tell from the Nintendo site... does anyone know if the unit will have HDMI out?

On Sept. 29, this beloved console is coming back to stores in the form of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition. The mini system, which contains 21 pre-installed classic games and can easily be plugged into any high-definition TV using the included HDMI cable, will be available at a suggested retail price of $79.99.

The NES classic created a furore
"The NES Classic Edition was first released on November 10, 2016 in Japan and Australia, and November 11 in North America and Europe, but due to limited supply, it sold out almost immediately"

Order-up if you want one!

This and the Super Famicom version are awesome and a must have if you have the NES Classic but for function over form you can't really beat the Raspberry Pi with RetroPie.

This... add bluetooth controller and WIN

Why do they insist on the built in X games? They could have added some Flash memory, internet connectivity, created an online store for the console to connect to and offer the catalogue for like $1 a game or something.

They already have that with the Virtual Console. Adding all those changes to this device would just unnecessarily push up the price. This is just for nostalgia.
