No contest. The NX has been like being married to a supermodel who refuses to put out until you've completed your studies and got a promotion to ensure that you "deserve" her.

ag it's been a labour of love in a way...

Sounds to me like you're using Nintendo to vent about your love life

Been waiting for this. I think it's going to be something special if the rumours are anything to go by.

Cute. Looks like they're done altogether with touchscreen and motion control.

Which would mean the home controller would have it too.
I don't think motion will get any focus those buttons look too damm gorgeous!! And they didn't go for shiny plastic, god bless Nintendo!

That's perfect.
Why didn't they go with a bluetooth headset when on the plane though?
I wonder what the battery life is like.

Looks pretty amazing. A lot of people had this down as the death of the 3DS, but I'm left wondering if this is a true crossover because let's face it, put Pokemon in this console and the world would go nuts.

A home console quality portable Pokemon that can even do geo things since most tablets have GPS anyway dont think this one will be different.

The world will literally implode of hype

I think for that very reason.

If this is going to replace the Gameboy market in a hybrid fashion then battery life might be good, but I fear it won't be great.

Also the video males split screen look awesome but in the real world I just don't see that small screen working very well and even then it will be a very intimate experience.

The standard home controller looks ergonomically atrocious. I know it's designed to split into two identical controllers but that is sort of the problem really.

Why not just make a full blown tablet/PSP style device for mobile and well a loose conrroller?

Seems to try to do too many things and implementing to many compromises in doing so.

In terms of controller comfort Nintendo is really good at that. The wii U controller looks like an ergonomic nightmare but anyone will tell you that it feels great in hand even for extended play. I'll wait till someone gets their hands on it but im sure it'll be fine

There's always the normal ordinary controller that they've shown.

Would be great if they have a cheap version that doesn't include the dock. Some people are probably fine with handheld only. They need to compete in price with tablets and drive the install base with things like Pokemon. Then the third parties will come begging.

I'll be honest I skipped the Wii U but have played around with it.

Had a Wii and Gamecube though and I can honestly say Nintendo doesn't even make the lost when it comes to controllers.

Even going back to the old days the NES and SNES controllers were outshines by their Sega counter parts.

But I'll need to feel this one for myself and the Pro controller does look quite decent.

As for the dock and stuff I suspect the whole thing will be quite modular yes. Probably have a number of bundles the varying combinations of hardware.

That's assuming it's any good as a pure mobile device. I fear it might not be and the battery might just last a few hours undocked.

Then again as tablets go 8-10 hours should be doable.

Maybe it's my small hands, I know their controllers don't have the most comfy design but they play fine for long periods and the buttons are really really responsive and accurate. So I guess my hands are small enough for them. But the WiiU was different it had the comfort of a 360 controller for me and I even preferred it over the Pro Controller which was a 360 clone. I don't think batterylife will be a problem as the device doesn't look thin and it's big so they could potentially fit a very big battery in there and even then a battery pack for topups aren't expensive and most of us have one already.
