Anyone got any experience with the Juke, a friend of my wife wants to buy one, I'm personally not a Nissan fan due to personal experience with a Sentra back in the 90's.

However I'm willing to accept things may have changed since then.

Well aside from everyone complaining that it looks like a frog I haven't heard anything negative.

From what I understand Nissan services and parts are very expensive, and yes its looks are horrid

Have not seen a bad review for the Juke. Only complaints are about the looks. I don't mind them actually. The turbo 1.6L is actually fun to drive. The only reason I won't ever buy one, is the tiny boot.

+1. Service is crap and a single 16" hubcap for an X-trail is just over R1k...

On the Juke side of things, nice car but the car we test drove had quite a hard ride

Thanks for all the input so far guys, it looks like the size of the boot is going to rule it out as an option anyway as she wants lots of boot space

I've been looking at getting the other half the new Qashqui. It is very well equipped and looks great.

Solid reliable cars. CVT units require more maintenance.

Part prices are in keeping with that segment.

Very expensive = Subaru not so nissan Juke. But that comment is relative. It you drive a 90's citi golf. Then the Juke is very expensive.

Never really got the point of a Juke?

What is it best at?

Off road?
Handling?
Speed?
Reliability?
Practicality?
Price?
Premium?

Personally non of the above come to mind with the Juke. What ever the Juke can do cheaper / better cars can do for a lot less money.

Strikes me as a LOOK AT ME kind of car.

My 2c, happy to be proven wrong.
