Hi Guys,
I have a 2012 Nissan Micra and since Sunday evening I noticed a weird issue on the brakes. Basically I get this *tick* *tock* sound alternating between left and right on the front brakes when standing still or coming to a standstill.
At first I thought it might just be contraction and expansion caused by worn brake pads heating up and cooling down the brake pad holder but it's a relatively loud sound and I can even feel the vibration through the car with each *tick*.
Difference in pressure in the brake pedal doesn't seem to make a difference.
I tested just now in the garage at work and it doesn't happen when I turn off the engine.
I think it's pretty obvious it's most likely an issue with the ABS system, maybe just a sensor or something... Oh and there's no engine light or anything.
I would just like to know if anyone has any deeper understanding of what exactly is causing it, don't want to get nailed by unnecessary BS from mechanic.
Thanks!
