Does anyone know if a new navara will be released any time soon? It's getting a bit long in the tooth isn't it?

Yes it is taking long, I was asking myself the same question. But those things are fast hey.

iirc they facelifted the Navara in 2011 and brought out the 3.0TD v6 diesel. I reckon they need to look at a newer petrol model as that 4l v6 has been around for quite a few years now.

They did? I recall the new engine, but they don't look any different. They launched that titanium model recently, seems they are starting the milking process at the end of a model range..

Ha! And there I was with my first company one, just after the launch, with all the bells and whistles and every single extra and more toys than James Bond and not even a year and a half down the line could I get rid of it when the company closed Nobody wanted it even at a give away price. - ended up paying in the bank some 70-80K and shipping it to the Big smoke. It was too new for its time. Too radical and the biggest double cab and people were scared of the price of petrol ...back then.
But look it had 28K on the clock and had been through a clutch change every 7k like clockwork. had a propshaft recall or something.
I am sorry to say while it was a sexy beast on wheels for its time and when there were few on the roads, it couldn't tow so much as a pair of old gumboots without the clutch burning to hell.

Hosehead, the early models had the clutch issue but that was sorted out. I have the 2011 new model 4x4 auto and it tows like a locomotive.

Yes, and now the Hilux/Fortuners have the clutch issue. :D No, it is not a joke. Bulletin out on it. I had a 2007 Navara and sold it with 128k km on the clock. Not one single issue. Towed trailers full of gumboots. I have a Pathfinfder now and it tows a pretty heavy offroad caravan.

As for the Navara, not sure. I know the Pathfinder will not be replaced by the new one currently available in the States. It has gone too soft. It will be a major facelift with lower spec models to compete price wise with the Fortuner. Yes, you have to de-spec a Nissan to compete with a Toyota. The Navara might be replaced by a new Frontier based vehicle. Have not seen any pics or heard rumours regarding it.

I am loving my 2007 Navara. A bit heavy on the sauce but then I cannot resist the temptation to open her up a little on a nice stretch of road.
