My tanks are down to about 75% now, about 9Kl, so I've switched back to municipal, except for the washing machine. That's permanently on tanks.

I should have put another tank up when I had some spare cash, but the interest rate hikes made sure that was not going to be an issue going forward.

TBH water is cheap. As long as my household keeps under 50L per person per day I'm happy running off municipal. That's why I pay my rates.

I installed tanks for those days/weeks when there is a supply problem. Having empty tanks prior to that event(uality) means I f'd that up.

My erf is a warning to others about why to rather buy a house on a level plot.

Each winter we have some serious ground water building up and flooding a portion of our front yard. I had a catchpit installed that takes the water around the house to the back where it's discharged again. The problem with Westering is that there is a metric crapton of rocks, and there is a big seam that runs across the whole front of the yard so the water can't permeate it, so it just builds up until eventually it floods higher than our paving.

In summer it's not a problem probably due to the longer daylight hours evaporating all the water before it can become a problem.

That's unlucky. Complete opposite of where we live. 100% sand.
