NNTP on Screamer?

Hi guys.

The techs came out today and got the Wimax installed.
Running nicely, no problems.


However, I cannot for the life of me download through either IS, nor SAIX news servers !!

Can anyone help me with the settings?

Judging by the number of views, and the lack of official Screamer replies, it would seem that there is no NNTP available on their network. No IS, No SAIX. Nothing.


Oh well, guess Telkom trumps Screamer for once..

IS and SAIX restrict their NNTP servers to their networks. How is that anyone elses fault?

IS and SAIX are tier-1 bandwidth providers. With the exception of Neotel, ISP get their bandwidth from them (last time I checked).
SAIX.
While at Telkom, I had access to IS.

I don't know if I am explaining nicely. Not sure if you get my jist.

Okay, I finally got through to someone who knows what is going on..

Officially, Screamer runs on the Neotel backbone, and so no IS nor SAIX access.
They are currently in discussion with them regarding access.

Screamer have some other upstream providers (including SAIX). Perhaps they will switch you considering your requirements? No harm asking ....
