Prospective 8ta clients beware!

I won't bore you with long story!

8ta coverage showed my area to be well covered by network. By 8ta own technician's admission the signal at home is very low. I cancelled contract within the first 7 days....sim remained active for 3 weeks. The call centre repeatedly assured me my account will not be debited....the contract termination withing 7days shows on the system.

I'm R4771 out of pocket and no direct means to recover.....sent a mail to [email protected] and pray that i get some response. If no reponse within one week, i'll ask an attorney to prepare complaint to Consumer Commissioner.

ask your bank to bounce the debit order - "No authority to debit"
 
You can lodge a disputed debit order yes, but AFAIK there will be a fee charged by the bank. But perhaps you could claim that back from 8ta.
