I got carry over plus the 500mb, so I'm sitting on 4GB.

I went over cap in Feb, so carry over could not be tested...
 
i checked the new balance this morning,... couldn't understand why there was carry over, normally only the add ons used to be carried over, but it looks like we got the leftover and extra 500megs.
the carryover is good, but the extra 500megs doesn't realy make it a better service.... for us, for now anyways
the 3Gb package is a bit too much for us, shouldve got smaller package, but 1gb too low again, so we kept loosing lots of leftover each month ... was almost about to offer it out :D
so the carry over is good, but for how long is it carried?

Hmm, thats not how I understood it, but it is possible. I didn't get the extra 500mb, month-to-month
 
Looking at iBurst web site, additional 500mb is only allocated to contract customers...
 
Seems it's only for contract subscribers yes...

Data Bonus applies to all 24-month contracts. Subscribers will receive an additional 200 megabytes of data free on iGo Lite and iGo contracts and an additional 500 megabytes of data free on all G1, G3, G6 and G9 contracts.

And here I thought G3 was a "contract" even if it is month to month

So people, what does this tell us-

- Just like the cellular service providers, pre-paid people get the shaft!
- Just like the cellular service providers, people willing to sign their lives away on a contract get all the goodies.
- Just like the cellular service providers, they use the month-2-month people to subsidise the goodies for the contract people

This is the last straw. The press release on MyBroadband gave me hope. But since seeing the extra cap is only for subscribers makes me really angry. I'm going to start shopping today, cheers Iburst.
 
Im on month to month and no sign of extra Mb's. This really is Horse S**T
 
Its quite astonishing actually. They have actually managed to de-value one of their services when everyone else is trying to up their game. I knew broadband progress in South Africa was slow but I didnt expect it to start going backwards.
 
I'm on month to month 3G package and I got my 500MB... tho I wonder how this carry over works... what if you get capped and use 5gigs there after... does that -5gigs get carried over to your next month?

well it pretty much lays it out on the iburst website: Month 2 Month 3072 MB
24 Month 3572 MB. So i dunno whats potting anymore

that goes for me too. i don't even have the energy to get pissed off with iburst any more. bad service, bad smpt, bad marketing and management.

it's simply time to move on, the sooner i stop funding the this circus, the better

Make that 2 as my contract expires in April, could not check carryover since I was way over my cap but I did get the extra 500mb (would rather have capped speed at 128kbps than the extra 500mb at uncapped speed)

But iBurst as per normal DO NOT LISTEN to what would make users happy.:rolleyes:
