My parents moved to Mtwalume on the south coast a couple of weeks ago. Before the move, they arranged for Telkom to move their ADSL line to the location. Only after they moved did Telkom inform them that there is no ADSL availability. Nice, they depend on ADSL to run their business.

Apparently Telkom is considering upgrading the infrastructure, but nobody knows how long it will take and Telkom is not very informative. Can anyone tell me what needs to be done, how long it takes and who I can bug about it?

Nothing...forever....no one.

Start looking at other solutions. WISP's or LTE ?

good luck in that area, was also on the south coast for a year and struggled. and when do find a wireless ISP you have to give up your sex life forever to pay for it
