Hi can anyone please assist. I've been told that there's currently no ports in my area for Telkom to install an ADSL line. Can you believe this that a company like Telkom runs out of ports. A colleague of mine had the same problem and took Telkom to task and eventually got their ADSL line. I work from home and is in dire need of an ADSL line. I'm living in the Kuilsrivier Cape Town area which is a metropolitan suburb, so what's the problem? I don't think in this day and age we have to accept this kind of nonsense, especially when Telkom is the only service provider of these data lines. Please any assistance will be greatly appreciated. What about a complaint to the Independent Communication Board or something? Thanks all!!!!

Nevermind no ports, my DSLAM is dead and there are no spares... In the whole of Gauteng, no spares. Yup, nothing.

Aren't Telkom the only provider of ADSL lines, at least that's what I've been told. 3G & LTE big bundles are very expensive!!!

If you are limiting yourself to ADSL then yes, Telkom is your only network provider.

Question: did they give you a ref number or just fob you off?

I always challenge t status quo. No relaxing with them for sure lol
