NO BIS on Vodacom

Morning all. Woke up this morning and noticed my BB Torch 9800 was off the BIS network (3G, no BIS sign) and none of the night time emails had come through.

Bounced the phone and it would still not connect to BIS.

Joined my WIFI network at work and all of a sudden BIS connected and emails / BBM Statuses flooded through.

Anyone else experiencing a lack of BIS on Vodacom this morning?

Ja, my BIS is down as well (8520), emailed Vodacom and they are investigating. They hope to have feedback within 24 hours.

At 4 AM although EDGE was displayed, my Internet was most certainly down. Did a battery pull, cleared the log files, registered on the Host Routing Table and cleared my browser cache. Later edge is displayed.

WIFI can connect to the BIS servers through the internet, so that means that the problem is with VC

I have HUGE problems with Voda and connectivity in capetown but it looks like its working for me today...

Mine is fine this AM, but my wife (who had perfect BIS yesterday) has no BIS today...... Vodacom is clearly tinkering and making a royal bugger-up at the same time!

Nope, not Vodacom. Seems the same problems that happened yesterday (and was eventually fixed by BB) might be recurring. I've escalated to them again.

I don't have a BB but my sisters do so its kind of funny no Internet for them
