Bheki Cele again shown up for not being to bright.
KwaZulu-Natal transport MEC Bheki Cele had no case against Roadlink, legal counsultant Thabiso Natee said on Thursday.

He said the MEC wrote a letter to Roadlink on December 23 last year withdrawing the court case.

"The MEC had no case, he acted without following certain legal procedures to suspend the operating licence of our buses in KZN," said Natee.

At a media briefing at the department's headquarters in Pietermaritzburg Cele confirmed that a court case pending between himself and the operator had been withdrawn.

Typical, I posted a while ago about him talking before knowing all the facts. Typical aNC action things that they have no idea about.

I'm pretty certain that these bigwigs have staff members who are well-versed and better acquainted with the precepts of the law regarding their particular departments. Why they don't first consult internally before jumping the gun is beyond me.

But one cannot argue with the fact of all these accidents and all the reports of people seeing the speeding buses and the driver tlaking about very long shifts. SARoadlink is NOT having ther passengers safety as theri primary concern. Just the Rs.

Damn! I still applaud failed action more than inaction though.

SA Roadlink = bad guys, arrogant and not addressing the real issue.

Cele = dumb government official not effectively using logic and the systems and resources under his control but at least trying to do something.

I know which one I back.

is it possible that people incharge are intentionally messing up investigations to have cases thrown out of court or are they really this stupid?

I wager taxi's are more of a hazard than long haul buses, why not the same stance towards to taxi industry?

it does seem that the taxi industry has a hold over the guavamint or something, it also seems they kill and injure more people than the busses do and they hold us and the guavamint to ransom when they want and no one does a thing about it, or so it seems.

True, also easier to target a legal operation that has a license and wont go and trash the city streets and damage private property.

I have to salute Bheki Cele for trying,

By the way, I knew the family of six that was wiped out by Roadlink. I went to high school with one of the reverend's daughters. May their souls rest in peace. As for Roadlink bosses, may God have mercy on their f#cking souls. Hopefully all this negative publicity will do what a failed court order couldn't do, i.e. bankrupt the company.

5 die in horror taxi crash

This type of thing happens regularily, more so than buses.

As tragic as any accident is, the focus that Roadlink has on itself by the departments now is completelty unbalanced.
There are other bus companies that also have accidents, one just recently.
If Cele continues to publicly call Roadlink buses coffins, without 'any' evidence, he can expect some kind of law suit in the very near future that will cost him dearly.
