No data connection

I have a MTN data contract which has worked without fault since I signed up. I changed phones yesterday and now it's not working. The other sim (Telkom) works without issue but the MTN one just says no internet connection.

Any ideas how to fix this?

swop sim slots if phone has 2 if an mtn phone they sometimes lock one slot for an mtn card and the second for 3 g only if a non mtn card is inserted
 
you may also have to enter the mtn mymtn and mms settings ,that should have been sent automatically to the phone though .

it will maybe pick up basic things on the sim slot ,but data will be restricted ,my one tablet was like that if the mtn card wasnt in the right slot it wouldnt work .
 
Weird. It's working now. I reset apn settings (not that I'd changed anything) and toggled flight mode on/off. For some reason that fixed things.
 
It's really spotty again today, as if there is connection but slow, intermittent connection. Google maps works, Waze doesn't. Facebook works but doesn't show pictures. MyBB works, YouTube doesn't.

Edit: YouTube works now...

Have a similar problem on my SO's phone. Tried everything. Reset network setting - nope. Tried the airplane on/off as you suggested and now it's working again. Very strange.
 
I downloaded a little tool, but need help understanding the results. Anyone able to shed some light on why there are so many no response entries?

I'm having problems with getting into my banking app etc.

Exactly the same issues! Thought it was only my device. Tried to Reset the network settings but yielded little results.

Some services work perfectly and get 300mbps on a speed test but struggle to load a WhatsApp image or open google maps:mad:

Twitter does not seem to load properly today. Rest seems fine.
