I have had an active Afrihost internet fibre account for about 2 years. Vumatel is the line (Randburg, 2195)
I changed my package in middle January from a 50/50 to a 50down/25up via the mobile app. It said the changes would be from February 1st, 2025.
Ever since February 1st,2025. My internet connection is not working, fibre box lights are unchanged. Queried it with Afrihost support, initially was told it's an area outage, must check back later. When I called later, I was told that afrihost have told vumatel to initiate a change on the line, due to my new package, but that vumatel will probably not get to it on the weekend and will only get to it on Monday 3rd February.
I don't see why my internet connection has been interrupted during this change, there was no mention of an interruption on the app when I changed my package. I've heard of others changing packages with no interruption to the internet connection.
Can u please follow-up & escalate on this issue for me
