No internet connectivity - Webafrica

also try typing
tracert 1.1.1.1
Thanks, we have tried this. Zip. "Request timed out"

If PPPoE connects and you run command prompt and type ipconfig what does it show the details of the pppoe are?
Even this stopped working yesterday morning. So now neither the router can connect or plugging the ONT cable directly into the PC work.

Let's hope they contact me today with a solution.

I logged a ticket to WA a month ago, they still haven't fixed my issue. They closed my calls "assuming" it was working now without checking in with me and because the call had been open too long and I have also been blocked from replying to techies via email to explain the issue.

Internet works great(occasionally) so I have kept it as it keeps my family happy, but makes it almost impossible to do work.

Persistence. I have over 10 closed tickets on the matter since Thursday. "We have detected a working internet connect.....and we are closing the ticket." They do this without even confirming with me if the matter is resolved.

So since Saturday I just bombard them with Whatsapps. I find these agents to be more interactive than the ones responding to the email tickets.
If you start at 8am with Whatsapps, you normally get a response around 2 to 6pm.
You will need to send between 10 and 20 messages to their Whatsapp before they respond.

What is important is that when an agent responds, you have 5 minutes to reply to him/her, otherwise the call is closed and you need to start from scratch.
When you make contact you then need to ask them to escalate to their Critical Care department.
You will get another ticket number, which does not show under your profile on their Website.

You then start the whole process from the beginning, this time when you get an agent, you quote the critical care ticket reference.
If the agent reports that the critical care ticket has been closed and all is well, then ask them to re-open that ticket.

Then repeat as above.

I think we can all agree that this is a brilliant system, which is efficient, time saving and shows WA's committment to customer service .

Can't you cancel WA?

For me there is a R1000 fee to sign up which they waivered as long as i stayed with them, and the internet was awesome until the issue cropped up. If they take this long to fix an issue, I am afraid of what cancelling their service will be like.

They care more about their ticket stats than customer satisfaction

Thanks, but it's not appears, it's definite.
And if I get asked to re-enter by details one more time...

For my issue, I am in contact with a critical care rep and they are stilling battling to sort things out.
My frustration is why did it take 4.5 days and one trillion whatsapps to get to this point.
If you are interest in customer service, I invite you to send me a PM and I'll share my details with you and you can have a look at all the tickets and what I have had to deal with.

Why has my speed not been upgraded as promissed?

I've made 2 comments on here in which I @WebAfrica Helper ....

My download speed has stayed the same but the upload has doubled. They say on WhatsApp that is correct.

Hi,

The speed changes should have been completed by now with the exception to Openserve which is expected to be completed by the end of this week.

Please forward your details to our team at [email protected] to investigate why the speeds have not been upgraded.
