I got home from work today to find our power was off from 8am to 5pm. My PC and modem had been on when the power got cut. Upon rebooting I was not able to connect and eventually got so frustrated I reset the modem. I am with mweb (Telkom line.), and am not able to get into the router web page if 192.168.1.254 but am able to get into the old Telkom router page of 10.0.0.2. It has basically reset all the settings, so I changed everything back to the mweb settings but am still not able to get online. Mweb guy tried to help but suggests I contact help desk tomorrow, however I will be at work and not in front of the PC so not sure how I will solve the problem! Anybody have any suggestions on what I can try? Could it be that my modem was damaged from the power cut?
