Here's the problem:

A client wants to give his resellers access to an ftp directory on a PC in his office. We used Serv-U FTP server. The PC is connected to an SMC wireless broadband router wirelessly which is currently only acting as an access point. The AP is on his LAN, as well as his Telkom DSL router (not the small Marconi POTS one, this one looks a bit different and seems to have more advanced functions). I think the AP must be in DHCP client mode, and the router is providing it's IP address. Now, his PC's all have static IPs, and we need to make the one running Serv-U accessible over the internet. He has a No-IP account which is successfully updating to the dynamic dns name. Problem is, when we try to ftp to the machine it gets to the Telkom Router, which blocks it. So obviously the No-IP program is using the Telkom assigned IP and sending that to their servers. Can anyone tell me how we could make this machine accessible from outside?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You'd have to allow ftp "in" through the ADSL router/modem to the ip which serves the ftp, check in the config pages of the router/modem

Checked, the only ftp related settings I could find are either enabled or disabled...

Is there any place in the config, for DMZ, port forwarding or something similar?

It'd help if you knew the name / model of the router

I think the ftp enable/disable is to ftp to the router itself. - risk

u need to foward port 21 (or wateva u using for ftp) to the lan ip of the machine which is running the ftpd. Also, i noticed i cant connect from inside the network using the wan ip

will check it out, thanks.
Do this for me, connect through normal broadban connection from that machine while no-ip runns, i do the same when we need remote access to that machine, other then that you'll have to forward port 21 to that server ip address, normally it's under nat or virtual server.
