Hi @Afrigirl and @AfriGuy,
Something changed on my connection when checking with support If a fixed IPv6 is now possible, instead of checking and letting me know they replied that it's not possible and so they changed my account to dynamic and could I please restart my router. I thought it strange as my IPv6 was already working dynamic, but I reset my router. On boot I get a IPv6 address but IPv4 no longer works and if I do a ipconfig /refresh it times out.. the agent on WhatsApp is convinced it’s my router because Facebook (IPv6) and YouTube (IPv6) work when my laptop is connected to the ont, it took forever to explain that a 169.254 address is a issue with IPv4 and that the fact that I can’t ping any publicly routable IPv4 address is a issue 8.8.8.8 for instance, even though I can still access Facebook and YouTube. After threatening to charge me for Vumatels fees they finally logged a call.
I hope maybe you can help, is there something that they have changed that could prevent IPv4 dhcp from working on vumatel? It must be a config issue as I have connectivity and full access on IPv6..
Oh and maybe the troubleshooting script needs to be updated to have a website for IPv6 and one for IPv4 so ensure that both protocols are working? I’ll DM you my account details
Thanks
Robert
