I went to the canal walk telkom branch and applied for a phone line as well as adsl. I was told that I will receive an sms on the following Monday or Tuesday..... I got no such thing. I go back to the canal walk branch, ask for the status and they said it will be installed on the 22nd Jan. I ask if it could be moved to a weekend as there is no one there during weekdays. They just gave me a plain and simple No! I was a bit shocked. So that is it? The woman helping me wasn't pleasant to talk and was pretty rude and unfriendly so I asked the lady to cancel the order as I am not prepared to take leave and wait for a Telkom techie to arrive.
I'm not sure how a company can refuse to install land lines on a weekend when most people are available. It just shows that Telkom simply doesn't care about their clients. It's fine.... Telkom will not have any support from me.
