Ok, heres my problem:
Everytime i get capped, my pc cant access local sites. If I browse game servers from inside the game, I can see the severs but if I try connecting it just times out. Sometimes im lucky and can play. I cant browse websites unless i navigate with the IP address but then i cant use the website. Cant check my telkomsa.net email(which i used to be able to do) but other application such as XFire are ableto view servers(not connect - no international cap:( ). I thouht it was my router, but all my other PC's can use the local cap perfectly. No settings changed. What could the problem be?

Thanks in advanced,
Sysem

I know... No i havnt. Dont have time for their ****

You better, I doubt I have the solution to your problem :D Sorry
Telkom ain't THAT bad anymore, try giving them a call

Did you try changing your DNS server address.
I get this problem alot. Cant connect to local sites after being capped.
Works 90% of the time.

My DNS is set to automatic. Il try change it,anyone know how and what to set it to?

Telkom ISP - Try the following DNS addresses

Prefered - 196.43.34.190
Alternate - 196.43.46.190

Tried the DNS adressess and still nothing.
Im in PTA,but it cant be my location as the other PC's have local access.
I havnt changed any proxy settings so its not that. Im completly stumped. Dont know what it could be.

Your mention of using a website's IP address makes it sound like a DNS issue to me.

Remember that your modem/router has its own DNS settings if you're using it in router mode. The ones you set in Windows won't make a difference.

Also, make sure you aren't using a manual proxy at all. The SAIX ones don't work with local-only.

Changed the DNS in the router's settings too. Still no luck...

stop using proxy server - unclick your proxy server tick box
Havent read the other posts, but when you are capped, you have to reboot your router and stop using your proxy server to access local sites.

Im not using any proxy servers.... that i know of.
