hello ... i was wondering if any one knows how to play copied games on a ps2 without using a modchip.. ive read some stuff on boot disks but it doesnt help too much

the old PS2 (big black one) can use a memory card exploit.
To be honest, if what you read on that makes no sense, then best avoid this one - it is complex to set up.

Is there a difference between the old PS2 and the smaller, slimmer models when it comes to modifying them?

AFAIK the chips are different, but that is no problem for the owner - let the installer worry about that.
For the boot disks there is a difference - the slimline requires a hardware change in addition to the boot disk.
The memory exploit WILL NOT work on the slimline. period.

um don't you mean backups since copying games is piracy which is illegal?

Can pirates get any cheaper now days? This cheap sod doesn't even want to stump up for the modchip to get his fix...

lovely...

?
with my slimline i boot off Swap Magic and play any game i want!
No mods required

It's sad that people openly ask for help to pirate, and then get help. I waish the mods would be stricter on this stuff.

Piracy is illegal, why can't people seem to understand that?

Why pirate? all the good PS2 games are R200 or less, if you cant afford that then you shouldnt be gaming, you should be looking for a job.

The new slim one's too but it requires a patch to the iso - not worth the trouble imo - not saying any more google is your friend. :)

Agree, for R200 I can hire a game a day from my Video store for the whole month!!!!

I stopped buying games for my PS2 and just rent them. There is no excuse to pirate games!

Nope - chips are all the same. You get chips which support V1-v16

Also incorrect on the MC exploit - there's a new one which works on the slims as well.

Piracy is bad M'kay?

Pirates already delayed the SEACOM cable (o, wait - not the same kind of pirate... sorry!)
