No more ESPN on DSTV

Seeing as I've just cancelled my DSTV in favor of the numerous cheaper options online.
I may be the wrong person to have this discussion with.

Enjoy DSTV though.

I hear u, trust me. Its a lot of $$$$$$$, but where else do we get sport from then?
 
Stream it from SuperSport, Justin.tv, ESPN GO, Futubox, PlayTV, etc.
I haven't missed any sport.

Choppy, dodgy, low rez, no thx. I prefer always available 720p HD transmissions and will happily pay for it. But to each his own certainly applies here.
 
Strange.
I'm getting pretty stable HD streams.

I had DSTV for close on 12 years.
It's not that I'm trying to be negative or anything.
I just see no value in the DSTV service anymore.

As you say though, to each his own.
 
I watched the INDY race on Supersport last night - what a pleasure - only 3 ad breaks during the entire race. I gave up watching ESPN because I couldn't handle the ad breaks, at least now I can get a little more motorsport in my diet :) Now all I need is ad-free MLB and NFL.

Weird, wonder why the nascar was so interrupted then... interesting
 
Being a Compact subscriber, I am waiting to see what alternative DSTV is going to offer top replace the only watchable sport channel on the Compact bouquet. At least they must reduce the subs, or offer a viable alternative. Maybe they could look into Eurosports 1 or 2.
So far, there is no indication that they intend to do anything.
