No More Personal Attacks!!!

this is a damn good forum and its a lot of fun to be on it but attacking each other spoils the mood.

I think the point of all this is that there are at least some of us who will try to stand up and be counted by fighting racist trolling. The "grow up, move on and get a life" advice would leave racist trolls running rampant all over this forum, destroying threads as they commonly do. The mods, with all due respect, ban them for good reason, but then they come back and act as though nothing happened. None of us want the good threads destroyed, but flames, blatantly racist remarks, and personal insults are thrown about, and do you expect us just to take them and be quiet? IMHO it would be better that a returning banned user who continues with the behaviour that caused the ban, be immediately banned again so that we can get on with proper debate.

IMHO.
 
So... the mods warn people... and they continue to personally attack each other in the warning thread? Go figure.... T-O-U-G-H-E-R action is called for.

Well we've explained this before. There are loads of scientific debates regarding race in especialy the human genome project currently undergoing refinement in the USA.

Those are the kind of facts for instance that can be discussed. :)

No forumite can call another forumite names based on race or attack them based on it. You can make observations, but on this forum black, white, purple and pink are all equal! That needs to be understood.

Regardless of the "facts" it will always be seen as racist.
Blacks have darker skin than whites - fact. Why? Gene differences.
Some people are better at, say, art, than other people. Why? Genes.
Everything is based on genes.

So, if whites have less pigment than blacks because of genes, is it conceivable that blacks have a "better art" gene than whites? Of course it is.
But - and here is the problem. The pigmentation thing is "fine", the "art" thing is racist. And never will we, as a species, overcome that.

Anyway.

This "discrimination" is not based on racism, bigotry, "God giving us the right", racial superiority and inferiority etc. as the past regime believed. It is based on the injustices of the past, and I agree that it is a way of levelling the economic tables that need to be balanced as a result of past injustices. Whether AA and BEE are the best ways, I'm not sure, we've only been guinea pigs for so long.

I certainly do not agree with discrimination based on the false idea that races are superior and inferior to one another, bigotry, "God gave us the right" etc.

AA and BEE has nothing to do with the latter, of which I disagree.

Funny you talk about white beggars etc. doing it because they have no choice. I think most beggars with 2 arms and 2 legs could get jobs if they really wanted to. Thing is, they make a lot more money begging, and so become more lazy.

There is a famous white beggar in Cape Town at Constantia Village who turned down a job offer by the veterinary clinic accross the way.

Different laws apply though. A person's right to his personal belief is enshrined in our constitution (even if it's a racist belief). However acting on it in a manner that might affect others is going to get him in trouble.

So to apply that to the forum, basically means that he can't use his stance as a racist to attack other races. In fact him stating that he is a racist has put him at a disadvantage because now all his posts will be more closely scrutinised.
