Hi there,

I have just phoned around whilst looking for a new adsl ISP. I have been using Telkom for the past 2years or so, using 1 username & password on 3 different pc's around the country. (seperate users with own routers & lines, just same password).

Now I was really glad to see 30gb accounts, and was about to get rid of Telkom until I was told that all the 30gb account providers only allow 1 username & password to be used concurrently

anyway around this, anyone offer more than 1 username @ once? i wanna get rid of Telkom

Well you have to look at it from their point of view, selling the packages. It would work out heaps cheaper getting 6 friends to use 1x 30gig account at R100 per 5gig.

They wont make money, and so they wont be able to offer this.

You can bypass this problem by setting up the router to auto connect with the one username and password... Your pc's will all be able to surf the web etc but it might affect gaming. There are threads in the forum that deal with how to.

Search a little.

Cheers
Antowan

yeah but the point is they are comps located around the country, and not in the same office else it wuoldnt be a problemo. I can do it with telkom as my isp, just not the others.....i will find something

ye telkom rips u a new one allready on the 3GIG, you cant honestly expect good offerings like 10,20, or 30gig.. heck even uncapped, to work like this.
