Why does MTN not have data contracts with a cellphone? More and more people are using their smartphones for internet as well. Vodacom has this.

I am now due for an upgrade and went to Longbeach mall to enquire about upgrading my fastlink to a cellphone with 350MB's plus airtime. Her response was an agitated " We don't do that" Perhaps having to work on a Sunday does make one irate.

I heard my wife behind me say "beach"

So off we went to Vodacom and they were helpfull and will get back to me.

I then took my wife to the beach for the afternoon as she requested.

After all this cr@p, Vodacom is the way to go.

Most unfortunately, you are right. After all that crap, Vodacom is the way to go. And at the same time, somewhere else in ZA, someone had a Vodacom experience that made them go to MTN.

swings and roundabouts

Take a MY TOPUP (MTN) & convert it to data. I don't see whats the issue. These option are available on both networks. Oi

Have you read the HelloPeter thread? The MTN has pages of complaints with no answers. The Vodacom has also pages of complaints but all have been resolved. Look at all the sad faces on MTN and compare to Vodacom with all the smiley faces.

I have a phone on MyTopUp contract but there is no fascility to buy a bundle on 141. It only says "You have no data bundle left" but nothing on purchasing a bundle.

Its like I said, MTN has a smaller subscriber base in south africa, and more complaints on hellopeter - that speaks for itself.
