Hi guys, so a couple of days ago i suspected that my motherboard has blown cause it was randomly changing the amount of memory in my machine each time i boot
So i bought a 990FXAGD65 board
http://www.msi.com/product/mb/990FXAGD65.html#hero-overview
Along with my 8150 cpu
Corsair vengeance memory
and my 560ti
After putting everything together last night the motherboard turns on first try but does not post nor does it show video.
I attempted to reset the bios - no joy
tried booting without memory
and breadboard built the machine
Now my concern is , how do i know if the motherboard was DoA or if the CPU has also gone?
IF i boot the mobo with no cpu will it give me some form of error code?
Is there a way you can test the CPU?
If anyone has advice or can help me i would be in your debt.
Thanks
