no PPPoE on Planet AD-3000???

got my planet ad-3000 adsl router today... Tried to set up a PPPoE connection which didnt work - ended up having to set the routers ip as my lan clients gateway and connect as a 'true router' 'always on' connection.

My question- is it possible to create a PPPoE connection using a planet AD-3000??
