No Price Increase Afterall

+1

Maybe they just got their hopes up and raised the prices early? *me hopes

Quite possible if it was Take2, but Kalahari are as thick as two planks, I doubt they would do something like this as well.

Another thing to consider, they would be pricing themselves out of the market based on rumour and hope. This is not the first time something like that would have happened in the business world, but that would be a silly thing to do nonetheless. Especially when you consider Kalahari is going to take 3 weeks to deliver your order of Fable 2...

Kalahari and Take2 were just hoping people wouldn't go looking around for the game and would just order it online. They are milking the lazy asses who don't go to the shops to buy stuff anymore :P

Well Kalahari just got milked by MyAdsl. I and a bunch of others just bought Grid for R 184. That is a saving of close to 70% according to Kalahari's own figures. :D

Personally, I think the consumer backlash on this site, as well as others such as lazy gamer etc played a fair role halting the price increases...

It looks like they were underway, and MS took a step back and realised "SCHit, people might actually go around us and import directly from overseas" if we milk them too hard...

*gets off high horse*

EDIT - oh, and yes, I think prices will be returning to normal

Well the hardware is going up ALOT. MI digital just released its hardware pricelist.

Here we go again... :p

errr....WTF are you smoking, R180 is not a lot of money - maybe I should have said "that is insane...ly priced" or something.

LOL@180 bucks being seen as expensive when "insane" is mentioned

lol @ myadsl all flocking to buy Grid. Kalahari had this in mind all along :P i bet they reported their best sales ever this week.

not laughing at the game itself. it's a great game. i'm laughing at how it just takes one person to up Kalahari's sales like that *snaps fingers*

oh ...... well it's a bargain, not many people are gonna sit back and go "I'm not gonna get that bargain coz that will make me a sheep"

Yea definitely! Not really a case of being a sheep, just scary how quick news travels and causes a feeding frenzy. That was more what i was amused about.
