Since the, 1st November 2023, there has been the issue where NO SABC Channels have been available to be viewed via the DTT Decoder within the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town due to the constant change within regards to the Frequency, and where all the ETV Channels are perfectly fine. Have contacted Sentech, and have also done exactly as what was requested by them to do, so, yes, a rescan/ search for all the channels has been done more than twice, and even had the decoder replaced in case there was a fault with the decoder, but have still been unsuccessful in being able to view any of the SABC Channels. So, is anyone else having this problem, or does anyone know what's going on, when some have even complained about not being able to view any of the ETV Channels in certain areas of this country. So, again, while some are unable to view any of the ETV Channels, there are also those who are, again, unable to view any of the SABC Channels..are they trying to censor us? hahahaha..and, as for the frequency info on this decoder, well, all the ETV Channels are majority of the time set at, 0.00E-07, with the picture being crystal clear. While all the SABC Channels are playing musical chairs, hopping from 1 frequency to the next..If anyone knows anything that would help, please, do share..Many Blessings:}

Interestingly i have the same issue, does not really make big difference in my life, just wanted it to watch the rugby final. 2 TVs with digital Tuners different brands and same issue.

You must be 1 of the last 4 people in the Southern Suburbs who still watch the SABC out of choice. There is a better life out there. Without the SABC. Be brave and free your mind from the crap. You can do it!

Thank you for sharing, at least, now, I know that there is definitely a problem, as everyone else has DSTV, and in all, honesty, that's just simply not for me, to watch show after show after show for hours, or even movie after movie..No Thank you, but, again, Thank you for sharing within regards to the SABC Channels..

..and, oh, well, if I am possibly 1 of the last people who are watching the little that there is via any of the SABC Channels, well, then, so be it, this, especially, when majority of the time ETV is either promoting sex, or some mode of violence to be able to solve problems, and 1 has to wonder where many of the youth are learning it from.. So, yeah, if there is a nature documentary, or series as a mere example, to watch, then, I'd rather watch that than something that would literally be corrupting the mind with filth..

Blessings:}

There isn't the answer you want. No SABC on a DTT receiver. Friend in Durbanville found this out some months ago

The Openview works, but is more restricted

Can also get the streaming directly without registration in a PC's VLC video player;

For eNews:

#EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="eNewsChannelAfrica.za",eNews Channel Africa (720p)

Also having issues with etv channels for ages now I tried manual scan still not working..I'm out if options

I receive all the SABC/E-TV channels with my dads Starsat decoder. He just watches the sport channel and the 2 Hindi/Indian channels on that. No monthly fee.

Is Starsat operational still/again? I thought Icasa took them offline circa October.
