No signal

I have my Rain 5G router on a backup UPS and when the power goes out I loose signal completely, I have sent Rain numerous messages but no response. I would like to know if more people are experiencing this issue.

No power. Means no power. If you loose power so does you're mobile tower.

Sadly criminals steal those batteries.

Those cell tower batteries also wear out with repeated load shedding. My router has a UPS and it would remain connected to my LTE tower as long as that had backup power too. I noticed last year when we were on stage 4 that the tower would no longer make it through the 2 hour load shedding period and would die at about an hour and a half.

Remember those tower batteries also need time to charge back up after an outage and aggressive load shedding does not give them enough time to do so.

Load shedding is a battery killer.
