Buy an Xbox, buy Orangebox then you dont have to worry about all that Steam crap.

Take the hit, install steam, and set it to not update.. I only ever go online for TF2 with steam. My single player games don't ever update, because I'm so bandwidth stingy

Also the fact it's a german version (why do you have the german version?). German version had alot of changes to the orange box.
Buy the English version.
