NO TELKOM INFRASTRUCTURE FOR DSL LINE

Hey Telkom Rep, i am in Nooitgedacht, bishop Lavis, Cape Town 7490, I applied at Telkom N1 City Goodwood for a 2mb Uncapped ADSL package and was successful, i was also told my area are 10mb capable. A week went by and i received the following SMS from Telkom: Dear Customer, Order number 92010289A has reference, we are unable to provide you with a service owing to a lack of infrastructure in your area, and your order has therefore been cancelled. I am very unhappy with this and can't believe that in 2014 Telkom are not willing to accommodate me with a internet service. I sometimes work from home and need to ride far to shopping malls for WiFi. Please can you find out how soon Telkom will be upgrading my area for fast DSL service, thank you.

@Marvin.. It happens often, it's a case of no ports available.

Just PM TelkomZA like MickeyD said, maybe he can wave a magic wand ... Mine took just over a month and they made/found a port. albeit not a 10mbps .. but 4mbps will do for now.

Hi Dan, where on this site do i find TelkomZA, on the other hand i wanted my own line, but in the living room we have a Telkom prepaid line, if i ask Telkom to switch that line to a normal line, can they then use that port for ADSL?

No if there are no ports on the DSLAM thats it .(ADSL and telephone exchange are two different entities until the MSAN/ISAMs are installed )
You may be lucky and there is no additional copper to your location , then converting the prepaid to DSL will alleviate that problem.

2) apply for dsl
3) no infrastructure message
