No upload speed !!! Please help...

Hi,

I have been having problems with my upload speed for several weeks.

Randomly throughout the day I will be able to send emails with attachments of greater then 1 mb and then at other times won't be able to send anything.Today I was able to send emails at 5am and at 6pm but nothing in between.My download speed is 3.48 mb/s and ping is 17ms.

This evening,the guys at mweb re-authorised my account and telkom recreated my port at the exchange, but I still have no upload speed when I do a speed test or try send an email.

Is there any possibility that settings on my router are amiss or my line is damaged etc ??? Is there anything I can check ???

Sorry I don't have much info to help, but I can allmost promise you it's a Telkom problem, they are useless idiots..
I feel ur pain.. They can't fix my line properly and today they left the box on the pole in the back of the yard halfway open with wires exposed, while it's raining.. They sms me to say problem is resolved, but only made things worse...

I can send through one email with an attachment first thing at 162kb/s.Then I have no upload speed whatsoever. Switch off router wait twenty minutes and I can send another mail with attachment, then the upload speed is non existent again.The problem is the same on my pc wired directly to the router as well as my mac via wifi, so its not comp related. Telkom keeps saying they have fixed the problem but they haven't.

Any ideas please ? Any stats i can post that might show something ?

I have the exact same problem at present. Telkom refuse to replace the card in the exchange. I can't send e-mails and I struggle to FTP files it fails spectacularly.

So guess what I am doing to resolve this, having a brand new line put in.
