Good day..

Recently I caught onto a virus, but my anti virus didn't pick it up..

But on the internet, they say you can download: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to clean it...

But I dont' know if I can run it with my NOD 32..

I'm not sure with AV and AM, but I heard you can't with AV and AV..

So I just want to know..

Thanks

You can have both running but one already slows one's PC down already. I would suggest using the ESET for activity scanning and the Malwarebytes for on demand virus scans.

Yes, that is what I am doing. Do not let them both run as active as that will cause problems.

How can I change it so that one is active?

I acutally wants NOD to be active because you know, I bought it lol

But anyway..

Will it cause problems? Even if it's a malware and not anti-virus?

(How do you change it? I can't find it in the options.. )

you shouldn't need malwarebytes if you have nod32?

In my experience MalwareBytes AntiMalware often finds things that Virus Scanners do not pick up. This is pretty much true of ALL virus scanners versus Anti-Malware programs. So yes, it is a good idea to have at least two installed.

kaisterkai, just use the free version of MalwareBytes AntiMalware ... the online scanning option is disabled in the free version (you have to buy the software to enable the online scanning - but since you are using NOD32 for online scanning, the free version is perfect).

So malwarebytes is a good AM?

Yeah I wasn't really going to get it..

Thanks anyway ^ ^

Well on the virus that i was scanning, my NOD 32 didn't find it.. so.. yeah..

my bad, I'm used to eset, it has the Anti-virus, anti-malware and firewall all in one

"Malwarebytes" finds stuff that ESET (& any other AV) does not even know about .... it is mostly used by IT companies in offline/on demand mode to find virusses/malware after a PC has already been infected ;)

I used malwarbytes wile I had AVG.. I still don't see what the hype is about...
