From what I can understand...(I might be wrong) my noise margin might be my issue with my line being very slow or even not working at all.

Is there a fix coz Telkom has been here alot and can't seem to fix the problem of me dropping and syncing 20 times a day.

If my browsing is slow I restart the router and then I have internet for 20min at a time.

Connection speed: DL/UL
4096kbps / 511kbps
Line attenuation: DL/UL
50.0 db / 31.5 db
Noise margin: DL/UL
4.9 db / 12.1 db

Pick up your phone and hear if there is any noise, also unplug your phone and filters and retest.

Noise over land line is not so bad. Telkoms excuse is that the lines are very old and was not meant for data many years ago. They cant fix it. Ia there a way for me to DIY the hell out of this to reduce my noise margin?

Dropping line speed.

Also keep in mind your line attenuation is extremely high, you are probably 3.5KM+ away from the exchange.

They are lying, at my house we had old cables that was pre-DSL. We were having issues so they found exposed wires. They replaced the old wires with new tech cables.

Maybe fsck up you cable some how so that they are forced to replace it.

But that's just me.

Im just sick of all the calls and everytime theres a new monkey here and he's got a different story. Thought ill fix it myself if its possible.

OP is paying for the maintenance of the line, so they should be obliged to do it no questions asked.

Drop @TelkomZA a message.
