I've just purchased a Nokia 5. When I insert my MTN sim card it says "Invalid Card - No Service" but when I use my Telkom sim everything seems to be working well.

Could the phone be network locked ? If not, how do I resolve this matter? Please help.

Telkom doesn't stock the phone, so highly doubt it will be locked to it's network.

If you bought it cash it won't be locked.

Try and perform a factory reset and if the problem persists take the phone back

The phone was an upgrade on my Vodacom contract. Even the Vodacom sim couldn't work on the phone that's when I tried the Telkom sim which works well but I'd like to use the MTN sim.

I'm currently using a Vodacom SIM in it but my one came from an MTN store.

The best thing you can do is take it back to vodacom and see what they can do, they will help since the Vodacom SIM is also not working

I'll do so as soon as I have time. Tried the factory reset but still the sim can't be read by the phone.
